Role Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated FIX Engineer with a deep understanding of the Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol and hands-on experience in its implementation and management. The candidate will be pivotal in optimising our trading connectivity and ensuring seamless communication between our trading systems and external counterparties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage FIX connectivity solutions.
• Work closely with traders and developers to integrate and configure FIX sessions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve FIX protocol issues in real-time.
• Enhance and maintain existing FIX infrastructure to improve performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with vendors and counterparties to set up new connections and maintain existing ones.
• Document FIX-related procedures and configurations for internal use.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Solid experience with the FIX protocol and network programming.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java or C++.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electronic trading systems and financial markets, particularly FX or cryptocurrencies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with FIX engines such as QuickFIX or similar.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle and order management systems.
• Familiarity with messaging protocols like AMQP, MQTT, or Kafka.
